Hey there Superwoman.

Take a peek at this amazing little feminine superhero!

Do you remember your Superpower?

There is no way you can look at her and not remember, at a visceral level, who you were as a little girl.

See the swagger?
See the light in her eyes?
See the purpose in her walk?

You know you still have it! But where did the Mojo go?

Life. Obligations. Expectations. Perfectionistic Thinking. You name it, IT claimed it.

Need some help reconnecting with your inner Superpower?

Here’s how.

But first we need to do a little introspection.

Who is residing in there today?

The Villain? Selfishness is what clearly motivates the Villain. Are you caught up in a vicious cycle of “It’s MINE, give it to me!” Are you stamping your feet in reaction to some wrong you feel has been dealt to YOU? The Villain can never become the Super Hero. Villains justify bad behavior by the anger or hurt they feel at some real or perceived wrong they’ve suffered at the hands society, life or a particular group or person.

The Victim? Are you walking around waiting to be saved from your own life? Are you personifying the Damsel in Distress? Are you waiting for others to “Fix” your problems? Are you waiting for someone to rescue you? Unfortunately victims see themselves as pawns with little power to change their destiny or situation. Victim’s do not see themselves responsible for the lives they have created. They enjoy blaming others for their misfortunes.

The Onlooker? Are you hesitating to take action? Afraid of taking one step towards the unknown? Do you prefer to stand on the sidelines and Monday Morning Quarterback? The Onlooker’s mantra is MYOB. Unfortunately, their propensity to stay safe and on their side of the street keeps them from exploring their boundaries and making any kind of impact in the world. You can find them at home, with the door locked.

Or the Super Hero?

Super Hero’s stand for something bigger than themselves. Even when they are outnumbered and unsure of their abilities. Super Hero’s know who they are and what they stand for. Their strength comes not from having superior abilities or secret skills but from the will to do the right thing for many. They are resourceful and innovative. They don’t know the meaning of the word quit. Their heroism is born of their conviction that they are needed in the fight or simply that the fight is worth having. They don’t fear death because they believe there are things more important than the preservation of their own lives.

The good news for most of us is that most Super Hero’s weren’t born.

They were made.

The Green Lantern puts on a ring for his powers. Spiderman was bit by a radioactive spider. The Hulk was hit by gamma radiation.

How do you reawaken your Superpowers?

By answering this question….Who Do YOU want to be?

Super Heroes become Super Heroes by being brave, having integrity and living their lives to save others from Villains.

You awaken YOUR SUPERHERO by serving the common good. Replace the focus on you with the focus to help others. One day at a time.

What can you do today, Wonder Woman?

For it is when you turn your focus outward on the greater good that you will awaken your Super Hero within.

Or as Diana would say ” You are stronger than you believe. You have greater powers than you know.”

All My Best,
Angela
